Project Overview

As the lead designer for the Royal College of Art’s inaugural first-year exhibition titled "Global Concern," I spearheaded the visual strategy to encapsulate the theme of "Motion" in a contemporary and engaging manner. Understanding the critical intersection between form and content within the diverse array of works presented, my approach centered on innovating within the digital space to create a cohesive and dynamic visual language that resonated with the exhibition's core themes.

Design Approach
Leveraging the versatility of motion fonts and the universal appeal of simple geometric emojis, I devised a visual narrative that was both accessible     and deeply reflective of the exhibition's thematic concerns. The use of short videos featuring hand-drawn emojis was a strategic decision to infuse    a sense of movement and vitality into the exhibition's identity, embodying the concept of "Motion" not just as a theme,
but as an experiential element for the audience.

  Reflection

Leading this project was a profound opportunity to explore the intersection of motion
design and narrative storytelling within the context of a major art exhibition.
It underscored the importance of adaptive, thoughtful design practices in
translating conceptual themes into tangible experiences, reinforcing my commitment            to pushing the.envelope in visual communication.

Implementation and Impact

This design strategy was meticulously applied across various digital platforms and exhibition materials, ensuring a unified and immersive experience for visitors. By integrating animated elements with static designs, the project pushed the boundaries of traditional exhibition visuals, fostering a dynamic dialogue between the artworks and their digital representation. The final design outcome was not only a testament to the innovative potential of digital media in art exhibitions but also served as a catalyst for engaging discussions around the theme of global concern, effectively demonstrating the power of design to communicate complex ideas in an intuitive and impactful way.
